Victorian Monaco driver Garry Jacobsen is the 2008 National Champion in Junior National Heavy following the outcome of a tribunal appeals hearing in Melbourne on Monday 28th April.

After Nathan Morcom crossed the line first in the final he was relegated to third by the stewards of the meeting, who reversed the finishing positions of Morcom and Jacobsen, due to a last lap incident.

Morcom's subsequent appeal, which was heard on Monday, was dismissed leaving Jacobsen as the winner, Blake Sciberras in second and Morcom in third.

The top five placings in the 2008 National Sprint Kart Championships for the Junior National Heavy class are as follows (the official results are pending any appeal lodged):
1. Garry Jacobsen
2. Nathan Morcom
3. James Kovacic
4. Tyler Cramer
5. Daniel Oosthuizen
