Tragedy has struck the karting community with the death of Graham and Kath Millard in an accident near Donald, in north-west Victoria on Tuesday. Graham and Kath are well known, travelling thousands of kilometers every year in support of their son, Kevin's, karting career and business - Kev's Karts and Parts. This is truly a sad loss for Australian karting, and they will be missed by many.

Graham, Kath and Kevin had set off from their home in Heywood, in south-west Victoria, to travel to the NSW State Championships in Dubbo. After stopping off at Horsham, Kevin continued the journey accompanying Remo in the Remo Racing van. "I asked him to jump in with me so he wouldn't be so squashed with mum and dad, and to keep me company," Remo said.

Remo and Kevin learnt of the accident several hours later, while still travelling, and promptly returned to Horsham. Kevin has since returned home, and we pass on our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies to him, his family and friends.

Kevin and the Millard family have extended their condolences to the family and friends of five people in the other vehicle who were also killed in the accident, the worst in Victoria for over a decade.
