Remo Luciani (Monaco Kart) and James Sera (Monaco Kart) have jetted off these Easter holidays to compete at the 2012 MG Tyres 2012 KartSport New Zealand National Sprint Kart Championships being held in Hamilton NZ.
 

New Zealand and Australia have always held their National Championships over the Easter Weekend. But this year Australia will be holding their Nationals in July in Darwin, as the weather is more stable in the Northern Territory at that time. This gives Aussie drivers the opportunity to chase an international trophy overseas. There are close to 200 entries from across New Zealand and Australia have been received for this year's MG Tyres-backed National Sprint Championships.

The likeable James Sera is known for being one of Australia’s most established karters, with a career spanning more than 20 years with an impressive track record of 22 State Titles to his name and three Australian Championship titles under his belt. Now 32, James started his karting career at the age of 10. James most recent win is the 2012 Victorian State Championships in Leopard Light Class.

Remo Luciani doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon either, with the 51 year old massing a total of 56 State Title wins and 7 Australian Championship titles spanning over 30 years. His most recent win was at the 2012 Victoria State Championships in Clubman O40’s and holds the current Australian Championship Title in Formula 100 class.
