Kosmic Kart is back in OZ!!
and backed up by one of the most experienced Karter's in Australia today. Remo Luciani winner of 6 Australian Championship Titles and 49 State Championship Titles, has over 20 years experience and still racing competitively today.

Remo is the driving force behind Remo Racing and as a result of his experience and the results that he delivers, more and more people come to him to sharpen their karts for the big races.

Two new models of Kosmic chassis have arrived in Australia. The new karts, named "Mercury" and "Lynx", comply with the new CIK-FIA homologation period.

MERCURY
This model is available for both KF and KZ categories. It is the new top Kosmic chassis which has been created to further improve the quality and on-track performance already tested and proved on numerous and important CIK-FIA events.

The Mercury frame is a 30mm tubing and the Racing version is equipped with the new M4 bodywork and stickers with the traditional winning design. The top version of the new model is provided with OTK brand magnesium accessories and brake systems OTK BS6 and BS7.

LYNX
This chassis has a 32mm tubing frame and has been studied to offer excellent performance and suitability for KF classes, but is especially suggested for the 125cc heavy class categories. As with the Mercury, the Racing version of this model uses magnesium OTK accessories. The brake system can be either BS6 or BS7 model for the KF, or BS5 for the KZ.

The Lynx will be supplied with new OTK M4 bodywork. Both of these two new KOSMIC chassis are available in Racing or Competition versions and will be provided with the new OTK rear protection. Brake disc can be either 180mm or 206mm.

OTK M4 BODYWORK
OTK is a trademark which identifies the kart components produced by OTK Kart Group. In fact a complete line of original parts, developed and tested on the race track, are guaranteed by their high quality and experience.

The OTK line, characterised by its unmistakable attention to detail and suitable for any type and kart trademark, OTK provides a wide range, from the axle group to the brake system, from b odyworks to magnesium accessories, leading on to super light and resistant carbon fiber parts.

The M4 bodywork set is undoubtedly one of the most interesting features within the accessories section homologated for the next three-year period.

The new bodywork is the result of long hours spent testing in the wind tunnel where it has been further optimized to get a better aerodynamic package, and to allow the engine, radiator and brake system to benefit by the air flow in the best way during racing.

Some items of the bodywork that have been renewed - the side pods are now thinner, the front spoiler is equipped with important appendages and a new rear protection bumper has been introduced which has been reduced in weight and dimension.

23/09/09  -  2009 CIK-FIA World Cup for KF2

The Kosmic Racing Department stepped on to the podium of the KF2 World Cup in Alcaniz with Mitchell.
Even if the third position of Mitchell is a positive result, it doesn't represent completely the performances proved by the Kosmic during the whole KF2 World Cup in Alcaniz on the Motorland track.

Tiene Felice, starting from the second line, led the race and really had the possibility to win. At finishing line, the Kosmic Racing Department driver arrived second but he was penalized with 3''for having committed a transgression during the starting procedure. Gilbert Mitchell did always great performances using a high quality technical material and so he gained a deservedly 3rd position.

The World Cup has been won by the Portuguese driver Da Luz.
The Mercury chassis represent an extremely good bases.

Our technical material, extremely competitive starting from the first moment, gave Felice Tiene , Mitchell Gilbert and Philippe De Ridder the possibility to concentrate themselves on the improvement of the set-up.
The track of the Ciudad del Motor in Alcaniz is characterized by long and fast stretches of road and by many gradients , which put under stress the engines. Fast bends and hairpin bends allowed our drivers to prove their ability.

Felice Tiene started from the third line and led the race, but unfortunately he had 3" penalty and lost the possibility to win. The Italian driver committed a transgression during the starting procedure going with the tires beyond the lanes. Mitchell Gilbert gained the third step of the podium considering that he already did a race with the top group composed by Tiene, Maisano, Viganò Oberg and the winner Da Luz.

Olivier Marechal - Team Manager Kosmic Kart Racing Department
"We didn't gain the victory due to some events that can happen in a competition like this one (single race). We didn't worked a lot on the chassis, we used them with the standard configuration of the factory, starting from this basis we have brought some modifications.
Starting from the first moment the Mercury were really fast, moreover the characteristics of this track allowed our drivers to led the race."

It has arrived the important moment of presenting you the drivers line-up which will defend the Kosmic Kart Racing Department colours during the 2009 season.
The team, led by the team manager Olivier Marechall will have at his disposal excellent drivers in all the classes and it is really well structured. Our Team will use the technical material homologated for the three-year period 2009/2011.

2009-kosmic-factory-team

The new Kosmic Kart models, named Mercury and Lynx, are the result of a long work carried out between the engineering and the Racing Team, a synergic research which has found its implementation in these two models, which have already proved their high potential.

The models Mercury and Lynx, according to the technical characteristics required by the different tracks, will be used in the best way. In the past season, even if the team gained the podium in the race of the European Championship in Mariembourg and the first line in the pre-final of the World Championship, the results were not the ones expected.

With the arrival of the new chassis the whole team is really motivated and aware of the fact that they will have to face with a complete programme which will see our presence also in KZ.

In KF1, next to the confirmed Alessandro Bressan, there will be Armand Convers and Benjamin Mardin. Bressan, together with the French driver, will defend the Kosmic colours also in KZ.

For the young Mardin this is a great jump in the top class, after having made experience in KF2 with our Kosmic Racing Department.

In KF2 there will be the young Felice Tiene, already tested driver of the category, and Mitchell Gilbert arrived from KF3. They will compete the whole CIK-FIA international season, the WSK Series and the Winter Cup.

In KF3 there are the two young driver KF3 Marc Kiralykuti and Koki Hoshino, this last one is already familiar with our Racing Department because he had an experience already in 2008.

CNC machining centres are spread throughout the impressive factory based in Prevalle, Italy, giving added control and precision to enable components produced of both magnesium and aluminum to be manufactured.

An entire department dedicated to engineering and full development of the product line is also in place at Kosmic Racing Kart. With a full time engineering department, consistency and quality are maintained throughout every part and process. This type of dedication is what sets Kosmic Racing Kart ahead from the rest.
