CIAN Fothergill has taken out the Pro Light category of the CIK Stars of Karting Series in his first year.
Securing the win with a solid round four at the Todd Road circuit in Melbourne, Fothergill had the title in his grasp before racing’s end. “After the first final, I knew I had it,” he said.“It probably won’t really sink in until next year when I put the green plates on the kart.” The Friday session started slowly for the championship leader, who was running on old tyres. In the second final, Fothergill set the quickest lap for the meet, clocking a 40.3, almost a second quicker than the qualifying time of 41 flat.
