Also the 1st round of the Northern Challenge seen Mat Ferrora came in 5th and Paul Donovan come in 6th with their Leopards in the TAG Heavy class.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION- Changes to "Northern Challenge"

Due to the some issues arising with the Northern Challenge series and the Tamworth Kart Club trying to cater for most classes at their meetings leading up to the State Championships, which will allow karters to get valuable practice befor the Championships, some confusion has arisen with one of the Leopard Qualifier rounds at Tamworth.

The Tamworth Kart Club will be running Leopard classes as stand alone classes as well as TAG 125 which is one of the 125 classes in the first round of the Northern Challenge Series.

The Northern Challenge Series is a completely "separate series" from the Leopard Qualifier Series but the organisers of the Northern Challenge are allowing all rounds of their series for Leopard drivers in the area to compete in the TAG 125 class (on MG REDS).

This will still Qualify those drivers to compete in the Leopard Final Shootout held later in the year at a venue still to be decided and also enable them to participate in the Northern Challenge and be eligible for their series prizes as well!

The criteria for the Leopard Qualifier Series (for Qualification to compete in The Leopard Final ShootOut- 2010) are 4 events minimum as follows; ANY Leopard driver entering any rounds in either "The Northern Challenge (RED Series)" or ANY of the "Leopard Qualifier Yellow Series" events will automatically qualify for one of their 4 compulsory meetings.

There is no limit to the rounds you enter. Any Leopard competitor can race in as many Leopard Qualifier events as they wish as long as the minimum 4 events have been entered.

At the Tamworth round on 14/3/10 any Leopard driver entering either Leopard Light or Heavy (AKA Manual section 45) will qualify. And any Leopard driver entering TAG 125 Light or Heavy (AKA Manual section 44) will ALSO qualify.

If a driver wishes to compete in BOTH classes they will also qualify for two of the drivers compulsory rounds.

If any more info is required please feel free to contact Max Thornhill on 0428 623797.
